These are some sites my friends and I have visited over the years and either like or dislike

These are not adverts for sites you cannot book them via this website

You can, however, use the links provided or telephone the sites direct

You may not like these caravan sites as everyone's personal preferences are not the same. So please check them out yourself and don’t just take our word for it for them

Great Yarmouth Racecourse Caravan Club Site

Great Yarmouth Racecourse

Jellicoe Road

Great Yarmouth

NR30 4AU

01493 855223

You arrive at Great Yarmouth Caravan Club site through the members entrance of

the racecourse, over the racetrack itself.  There is no access to the site when racing is actually taking place.   On Race days if you are staying on site you automatically become a member for the day and gain access to the members enclosure on the inside of the track, which is a saving of over £9 each, though

On race days all dogs must be kept  inside the van on the racecourse owners instructions.

The site is up to the usual Caravan Club, the pitches are well spaced and very large ( note there are NO tents allowed).  Dogs are allowed but on a lead only and Great Yarmouth insists on pooper scoops at all times.

The pitches have electric hook-ups all 16 amps.  The toilet/shower blocks are protected by a digital lock and you are given the code on arrival.  This is because the toilets are on the racecourse side of the fence and you have access to the course via gates.  The facilities are spotless as you would expect and are cleaned at least twice a day.  The water and waste water are easy to see well laid out and you don’t get wet when you use them.

Car Boot sale on the racecourse on Sundays for folk who enjoy searching for that collectable

The site is in a fair walking distance of the town centre (13/4 miles) although the Pleasure Beach is 3 miles away.

There is a “pub” on the front quite close to the site and this belongs to the Haven static site and is quite dismal, much better to walk on to the town its self.
